Biography
Major Sherman Crockett wrote a series of five novels intended for young adults, about a couple of boys from Chicago sent over to World War I-disrupted Europe to find the estranged older brother of one of them... and unfortunately that’s all we know about this writer.
The first three novels tell the story about the search for the older brother; the final two describe what happens during their trip home to Chicago.
It’s a doggone shame when people who created something worthwhile, something that will last essentially forever to be enjoyed by other people, are themselves forgotten and fade into anonymity. If anyone has more information about this author, please
