R. L. Wheeler
Biography
Little is known about R. L. Wheeler. In fact nothing. All we know is that he wrote some dime novels in the latter half of the 19th century. There is some suspicion that R. L. Wheeler might be a
nom de plume for
Edward L. Wheeler, a better-known dime novelist who wrote the Deadwood Dick series of novels for the same publishers, but no real confirmation of that suspicion.
It’s a doggone shame when people who created something worthwhile, something that will last essentially forever to be enjoyed by other people, are themselves forgotten and fade into anonymity.
