John F. Cowan
Biography
Little is known about John Franklin Cowan (1854–1942)—in fact nothing except his birth year and death year, which somehow are listed (unsourced) next to his name in various places around the Internet.  All else we know is that he wrote some dime novels along with some more serious books in the latter half of the 19th and early part of the 20th centuries.  Whether “John F. Cowan” is a nom de plume or his (or her) real name, even that we don’t know for sure.
It’s a doggone shame when people who created something worthwhile, something that will last essentially forever to be enjoyed by other people, are themselves forgotten and fade into anonymity.  If anyone has more information about this writer, please contact us and share that information so we can, in turn, share it with the world.
